Lizzy Purcell Daniel, PT, DPT

Lizzy received her B.A. in Dance from Goucher College which laid the foundation for her understanding of movement and body mechanics. She then danced professionally throughout the Baltimore area and completed the rigorous Romana’s Pilates certification program in New York City, studying under world renowned teacher trainers. Driven by her passion for helping others, she pursued further education and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Lizzy has been teaching classical Pilates in the Baltimore area since 2014 and frequently integrates her physical therapy knowledge into Pilates sessions to best help her clients achieve their goals.

During her own pregnancies, Lizzy gained personal insight into the unique challenges and physical changes that occur during pregnancy and postpartum. This first-hand experience sparked her interest in treating those with issues related to the perinatal period including back, neck, and pelvic pain as well as diastasis recti and incontinence. Lizzy strongly believes that everyone deserves to live a full life without being limited by these conditions that are often considered “normal.” This is evident in her holistic approach that emphasizes assessing the body as whole to understand the root cause of a patient’s pain or dysfunction.

Outside of work, Lizzy enjoys discovering the best restaurants around Baltimore and moving her body whether she’s chasing her two toddlers, hiking, or running.

If you're looking for a PT who specializes in Pelvic floor work, you've come to the right place!”

“Lizzy is the absolute best! I have worked out for years, and have never been able to engage my core properly. This lead to back issues and diastasis recti. Since working with Lizzy for the past several months my diastasis recti has improved significantly, and I have not had any back issues! I have recommended her to all my friends and family. I cannot say enough wonderful things.”
