Lizzy received her B.A. in Dance from Goucher College which laid the foundation for her understanding of movement and body mechanics. She then danced professionally throughout the Baltimore area and completed the rigorous Romana’s Pilates certification program in New York City, studying under world renowned teacher trainers including Sari Mejia Santo, Brie Adina Neff, and Cynthia Shipley. Driven by her passion for helping others, she pursued further education and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. Lizzy has been teaching classical Pilates in the Baltimore area since 2014 and frequently integrates her physical therapy knowledge into Pilates sessions to best help her clients achieve their goals. In her physical therapy practice, Lizzy specializes in orthopedics and pelvic floor physical therapy.
Outside of work, Lizzy enjoys discovering the best restaurants around Baltimore and moving her body whether she’s chasing her two toddlers, hiking, or running.
My Approach
I take a holistic approach to each session while fusing my knowledge of anatomy and physical therapy principles with my expertise in the Pilates system of exercise. I take the time to listen to my clients’ concerns and consider the best way to help them reach their goals.
